We are all blown away that Zegul Kayaks has come on board as our Presenting Sponsor, providing us with Custom Arrow Empower Kayaks that we even get to keep after the trip. WOW this is huge.
The Arrow Empowers will be custom made to our needs, starting of with Zeguls Rock Solid layup, we then added full Aramide Keel strips tip to tail, deck mounted Compasses, we are also having rudders installed as well as skegs (this helps create redundancy of steering systems in case of breakages, and rudders are the most efficient method of steering). The rudders will have an extra lower hinge reinforcement to help keep them attached to the very pointed aft end of the Empowers. we are certain these boats will help us carry a solid load of gear and will be a key factor in our success on this epic journey this year.
