Sorry for the delay in our blog posts, the ice broke quickly and allowed us passage around the north of Nordaustlandet, the journey proved to be something more epic, surreal and mind blowing than any of us had imagined, it consumed our existence in every facet of emotions and physical states. Last night, August 9th 2015, at 10.55pm we returned to our food depot on Spitsburgen Island, completing our circumnavigation of the island of Nordaustlandet and becoming part of an elite group of only 8 kayakers to ever succeed at this goal (along side the team of 5 Norwegian kayakers attempting at the same time who we assume have completed in these last couple of days as well). We are exhausted and the memories of our experiences almost seem unreal, as if we simply existed in some Hollywood movie for a week and now have woken up where we begun. Once we recover and have a chance to recharge the solar system, we will get some more detailed blogs and some pictures up of our last 2+ weeks. Thanks for all the support.
